WCW Members Have Fun at 60th Anniversary Celebration
Below are photos from the 60th celebration. Fran Syverson is to be lauded for her innovative suggestion that the cake be decorated with "words." What could be more appropriate for writers?!
Kathy Harrington, Carol J. Amato, Angela Myron, and Fran Syverson participated in a panel discussion on "Changes in Publishing." Kathy spoke about returning to publishing in the romance genre and displayed her latest book, Lachlan's Bride. Carol provided comments on the opportunities, do's and don'ts of self-publishing. Angela discussed the necessity for writers to use social media to market their work, and Fran added comments about how journalism has changed over the years.
Members who were still present at the end of the party posed for a "class" photo. Rear row, left to right: Angela Myron, Sherry Barber, Iris Harris, Gary Imperial, Meg Rottman, Claire Koehler, Kathy Harrington, Jim Schieldge, Ester Elliott, Carol Amato, Aurelia Martinez. Front row, left to right: Mary Terzian, Hilda Lassalette, Helen Oyakawa, Nickolae Gerstner, Fran Syverson, and Naomi Voorhees.
We missed the members who were unable to attend.
