A lovely story — a challenging and creative tale, brightly-imagined, attractively written — a pleasant one-night read. The author makes Mary (Miryam) and her family seem real, rather like people we know in our own hectic lives, and that’s a delight. We appreciate this author’s imagining young Miryam’s family and surroundings, her problems and joys, and especially her startling call from God — what that meant for her and those around her, and what it means today.
